Machine QA using EPID has been in clinic work for a long time. However, there is still no standard routine and tolerance for the action. Such as what kind of component and TG 142 tasks can be done using EPID and what is the action plan. EPID based machine QA has the advantages to improve the efficiency and quality of medical physicist through automation also. The session will review and discuss current technologies available for automation of machine quality assurance for using EPID. The benefits and potential risks of automation EPID QA for these tasks will be discussed. Clinical implementation and practical considerations of automated tools will be presented with clinical examples shared by early adopters or developers.

Learning Objectives:
• To recognize the current and future role of automation using EPID in radiation oncology
• To understand the benefits and risks associated with automation in different machine QA tasks based on TG 142 recommendation
• To understand practical considerations in implementing automation EPID QA and how to best incorporate these techniques with current clinical workflow
