Room: Track 7
Pure Imaging Phantoms is in the process of developing software that will analyze image quality. The goal is to improve the workflow for a medical physicist by having an automated program that will read in images of an image quality phantom and calculate the following: spatial resolution, contrast (high and low). uniformity and signal-to-noise ratio. This is done on two different phantoms at an SOD of 100 cm at a technique of 80 kV, 20 mAs. This software will produce accurate results on the order of a few seconds.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand what phantoms may be used for certain modalities
2. Understand what the phantoms are used to measure (i.e. resolution, contrast, etc.)
3. Understand concepts in the frequency domain such as MTF and NPS
