Preparing for a cyber-attack in Radiation Oncology

The risk of cyber-attacks keeps increasing and Radiation Oncology is no exception; it is even more vulnerable. Preparing and implementing a comprehensive prevention plan is essential. It is also equally important to prepare an emergency contingency plan which enables treatments to continue even after the successful attack. The necessity of the emergency plan is often ignored, which leads to a significant delay of treatments after an attack.

Learning Objectives
1. Nature and risk of the cyber-attack,
2. How to prepare and to practice the anti-attack plan,
3. To design an emergency plan; what to be considered and to be prepared
4. How to practice and to maintain the emergency plan
