Room: Track 6

Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise for Radiation Oncology (IHE-RO) is an AAPM and ASTRO sponsored effort to define and improve integration of software systems in Radiation Oncology and Healthcare. In this session, we will update AAPM members on the IHE-RO efforts over the past year to draft, implement and test profiles that define how data is to be transferred for high reliability communication. We will review IHE and IHE-RO organization and profile development, vendor implementation, face-to-face Connectathon testing and how clinical users can use IHE profiles to guide software purchases.

1) Gain an understanding of what IHE does and how AAPM members can be a part of driving the future of integration profiles.

2) Understand the profile testing process and how AAPM members can verify if software products can interoperate with current and future purchase.

3) Obtain knowledge of active profiles and those in development.

Funding Support, Disclosures, and Conflict of Interest: All three presenters receive travel reimbursement for IHE RO travel.
