The purpose of this symposium is to review recent advances in imaging across different modalities. Speakers will be discussing recent advances in three areas: 1) New diagnostic and interventional imaging with ultrasound using voltage sensitive dyes for brain imaging. 2) Advanced reconstruction methods for magnetic resonance imaging that use deep neural network approaches to learn exact inverse transforms. And, 3) novel approaches in x-ray computed tomography where the data acquisition is modified to collect projections with varying sparsity and/or geometry. These concepts use a combination of new data collection techniques and processing algorithms to extend imaging capabilities for new contrast mechanisms, faster scanning, and better image quality.

Learning Objectives:
1. Understand how ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging can be applied to electrical mapping in the brain.
2. Understand how perceptual learning can be applied in MRI reconstruction using deep neural networks.
3. Learn different ways that computed tomography data acquisitions may be adapted to provide improved data and image quality.
