Purpose: Explaining the field of Medical Physics to the public is a hard task. It is essential to foster techniques to make this field approachable and understood to the layman.
Methods: According to the characteristics of related radiation physics contents, it expounded and illustrated the role and advantages of computer simulation technology. Viewers become familiar with the Virtual Physics Lab and can follow along with the different story lines. Those include Medical Physics illustrations in the categories of Radiation Therapy, Imaging and Health Physics. It is easy to add extra modules to the Virtual Physics Lab platform. To expand the education between students, a QQ group account has been created to promote the Virtual Physics Lab.
Results: In the Virtual Physics Lab, computer simulation technology is applied in the recurring of physical process, the interpretation of physical principles and the simulation demonstration in experiment teaching. The use of computer simulation technology can make some physical problems which are gradual, dynamic and abstract transform into the visual, imaged and vivid physical scenesï¼Ž
Conclusion: Applying computer simulation technology in the teaching process can greatly change the traditional teaching and learning conceptsï¼Œenhance the layman to better understand the abstract medical physics theories.
