Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) has been practiced clinically for several decades. During this time, many patients have benefitted from the application of highly focused radiation dose distributions to intracranial targets. Traditional SRS continues to be delivered using a stereotactic head-frame rigidly attached to a patient’s skull for triangulation and immobilization. Recently, there have been technological developments that have enabled the safe and accurate delivery of SRS without an invasively applied head-frame. These frameless techniques allow for more efficient delivery of SRS, especially in fractionated regimens, with the possibility of better treatment outcomes and greater patient satisfaction.

In this session, four well-experienced users will describe the following aspects of the frameless SRS technology deployed at their facility: technical specifications of the clinical hardware and software, clinical workflow, and, finally, requirements for routine quality assurance.

Learning objectives associated with this session are:
1. Gain detailed knowledge of the components of each technology specific to frameless SRS delivery
2. Understand the workflow involved in the clinical application of each technology
3. Learn about the quality assurance requirements for each technology
