Purpose: In radiotherapy, a film-based method was used to identify the patient's radiation field, but there were disadvantages such as film damage. Although imaging system has been developed as a method for solving these disadvantages, there has been a disadvantage that the size of the case is increased. At present, there is a cost burden when an expensive semiconductor device detector is used.

Methods: We eveloped a video - based compact imaging device which is easy to manufacture and easy to use by using Lanex Fast Screen fluorescent paper, reflector, and digital camera. In order to develop the equipment in small size, the tilt of the mirror was adjusted, resulting in image distortion. The modified image was calibrated by developing a calibration program based on the coordinates of the straight line and the intersection point.

Results: Image deformation was most severe at the bottom of each image. On the lower side, the average strain was 100%, and the upper side and the height were 8.7% and 12.9%, respectively. When the image was corrected, the error of the correction rate was 0.7% at the base of the mean, 0.2% at the top, 0.4% at the height. The calibrated image displayed on the screen showed a blank space on both sides of the output screen. This is because the data of the deformed image is forcibly corrected by applying the original image value. If this problem is solved, it is expected that it can be used in future radiotherapy equipment.

Conclusion: If the distorted image is corrected, it is expected that it can be used in actual radiation therapy if it resolves a slight error value with the original image.
