Presentations

(Monday, 7/30/2018) 2:45 PM - 3:45 PM

Room: Room 209

This session will begin with an explanation of the reasons we have maintenance of certification (MOC). These include keeping the support of the public; keeping regulation as self-regulation as opposed to outside regulation; and, encouraging medical physicists to keep their skills current. This will be followed by an in depth review of the new OLA process with a demonstration of the OLA software. Finally the four parts of the MOC process will be reviewed and questions taken.

Learning Objectives:
1. The participant will understand the purpose and benefits of MOC
2. The participant will understand the new Online Logitudinal Assessment (OLA) process that is part of ABR MOC
3. The participant will be aware of the current requirements for the ABR MOC process for medical physicists.
