Quantitative imaging (QI) will undoubtedly be an enabler of the practice of precision medicine. Applications of QI include patient screening and diagnosis, optimal treatment selection, and treatment assessment (both short term for potential adaptive therapy and long term for surveillance). While there are many opportunities for quantitative imaging in both radiation oncology and medical oncology applications, there are also several related challenges. This session of the Quantitative Imaging Specialty Track will address such opportunities and challenges in the setting of radiation and medical oncology in two plenary presentations. The plenary presentations will be followed by six proffered presentations addressing quantitative imaging applications in radiation and medical oncology.

Learning Objectives:
1. Understand how quantitative imaging biomarkers are important in radiation oncology treatment guidance and treatment assessment.
2. Understand how quantitative imaging biomarkers are important in medical oncology treatment guidance and treatment assessment.
3. Appreciate some of the current applications of quantitative imaging in radiation and medical oncology.
